The United Nations has released the World Population Prospects 2022 Report, with global population in 2022 at 7.94 billion, forecast to reach 8 billion on 15th of November 2022 and 9.68 billion in 2050 (28 years later).  India is expected to overtake China as the world’s largest population with 1.5 billion in 2023.   In 2022, the world’s top 5 most populous countries are China (1.42 billion), India (1.41 billion), United States (337 million), Indonesia (275 million) and Pakistan (234 million).  Africa & Asia represent 76.9% of world’s population (6.109 billion of 7.94 billion),  while Americas & Europe represent 22.3% of world’s population (1.77 billion of 7.94 billion).  Global average life expectancy (death) is around 71 years (Male: 68.4, Female: 73.8) with women living 5 years longer than men.  In Asia, the average life is 76.5 years, while in Central & South Asia, it is 67.7 years.  In Europe & North America, the average life is 77.2 years.  Australians & New Zealanders live the longest with 84.2 years, in Eastern & South-Eastern Asia is 76.5 years, in Central & Southern Asia is 67.7 years, In Europe & North America is 77.2 years.  9.7% of the world’s population are over 65 years old.  The regions with the most age 65 years old & above population are Europe & North America (18.7%) and Australia & New Zealand (16.9%).  View: Full Report
