Portugal football star Cristiano Ronaldo is facing a $1 billion class action lawsuit (£791 million) for endorsing & promoting crypto exchange Binance, including launching Ronaldo CR7 Binance Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) priced from $77 in November 2022 and with price decreasing 98% to $1 in November 2023. Cristiano Ronaldo is the highest paid football in the world in 2023 with $260 million. In November 2023, Binance had been fined $4.3 billion for money-laundering with founder & CEO Changpeng Zhao (Canadian) pleading guilty, resigning as CEO (21/11/23), paying $50 million of the fine, and facing less than 18 months jail. Of the $4.3 billion fine, Binance will pay a criminal fine of $1.8 billion and forfeit $2.5 billion.
