Informa Connect, the organization that delivers leading events in the financial services space, including Inside ETFs, WealthStack, RIA Edge and Finovate, said Mark Bruno, managing director of Informa Connect Wealth Management, will leave the firm at the end of September. After supporting the organization’s events and industry partnerships since 2021, Bruno will move on to an executive role with Emigrant Partners, a capital and advisory services firm that makes minority investments in wealth management firms.

“While we will miss Mark’s contributions, the change comes at an optimal time for our organization. Our team is strong and well equipped to build on the momentum we have achieved for transforming legacy events, building out our industry research and marketing initiatives and continuing the momentum we have established with our Wealth Management Industry Awards, alongside our flagship publication WealthManagement.com,” said David Armstrong, director of editorial strategy and operations at Informa Connect.

“Mark came to us with a mandate to help us reformulate our programming and build a team. He delivered on that in a way that leaves us stronger than when he started. He received an unsolicited opportunity that was too good to pass up and we wish him well in that endeavor,” said Julian Kirby, managing director and president of Informa Connect, Global Finance. “We’re excited to build off a solid 2023 as we embark on the next phase of innovation and content for our audiences.”

Armstrong said the organization is positioned for continued growth and success, with a senior leadership committee established to plot the strategy and structure for future growth of the division.

“We put a solid operations team in place over the past two years with deep industry experience, and Mark helped us write a really good script for our next phase," Armstrong said. "Our media properties, programs, events and initiatives are fully-staffed and supported.”

Looking to what’s next, the Informa team debuted a new event targeted at RIA firm leaders this week, RIA Edge West, in Marina del Rey, Calif., bringing some 200 decision-making executives from registered investment advisory firms to explore growth strategies, challenges and opportunities.
