Barclays has appointed 22-year veteran Sasha Wiggins as Barclays new CEO of Private Bank & Wealth Management, succeeding Jean-Christophe Gerard. Sasha Wiggins is currently Barclays Group Head of Public Policy & Corporate Responsibility, and had joined Barclays 22 years ago in 2002. At Barclays, Sasha Wiggins had held numerous leadership roles including Private Banking Team Leader, Head of Propositions (Wealth & Investment Management), CEO Ireland, Head of East & South East Region for Corporate Banking & Group Chief of Staff. Jean-Christophe Gerard is a private banking veteran with 25 years of private banking experience, including 18 years at HSBC Private Bank (24 years at HSBC). In 2017, Jean-Christophe Gerard joined Barclays Private Bank as Global Head of Investments, and in 2019, was appointed as CEO of Monaco & Head Private Bank Europe. In 2020, Jean-Christophe Gerard was appointed as CEO Private Bank and in 2023, appointed as CEO of Private Bank & Wealth Management. In September 2023, Barclays Private Bank new Head of Asia Nitin Singh started his role on 18th September 2023 (based in Mumbai). In July 2023, Barclays had hired ex-HSBC senior executive Nitin Singh as Head of Private Bank Asia & India (18/9/23), a veteran banker with more than 20 years of experience including at HSBC (16 years), Standard Chartered Bank and as CEO of Avendus (Wealth Management). Nitin Singh will report to Jean-Christophe Gerard (Barclays Private Bank CEO) and Jaideep Khanna (Barclays Asia-Pacific Head). Barclays Private Bank Head of Singapore Evonne Tan will report to Nitin Singh. Barclays CEO of Private Clients India Sandeep Das has also been reported to be leaving Barclays. In 2023, Barclays Private Bank manages around $59 billion AUM (Assets under Management).

Nitin Singh will report to Jean-Christophe Gerard (Barclays Private Bank CEO) and Jaideep Khanna (Barclays Asia-Pacific Head).
