Australia has announced to end the Golden Visa Program for HNW investors (high net worth) and to focus on skilled-worker visas.  The Australia Significant Investor Visas (SIV) program was launched in 2012, requiring at least AUD 5 million investment ($3.3 million).  Since 2012, 85% of the successful applicants are from China.  Australia Minister for Home Affairs Clare O’Neil: “It has been obvious for years that this visa is not delivering what our country and economy needs.”  The Australia Significant Investor Visas (SIV) program allows investor to carry out investment activity in Australia, stay in Australia for up to 5 years and bring eligible members of their family.  View Australia Significant Investor Visas (SIV) program here
