Amazon founder & billionaire Jeff Bezos with $124 billion fortune has announced plans to give majority of his wealth to charity & to fight climate change. The plan was announced during an interview with CNN at Jeff Bezos residence in Washington DC (United States), alongside his partner (girlfriend) Lauren Sanchez. Jeff Bezos had committed $10 billion in the next 10 years to the Bezos Earth Fund, chaired by his partner Lauren Sanchez. Jeff Bezos: “The hard part is figuring out how to do it in a levered way. It’s not easy. Building Amazon was not easy. It took a lot of hard work, a bunch of very smart teammates, hard-working teammates, and I’m finding — and I think Lauren is finding the same thing — that charity, philanthropy, is very similar … … There are a bunch of ways that I think you could do ineffective things, too.” In 2019, MacKenzie Scott and Jeff Bezos had divorced in one of the largest asset split ($150 billion to $200 billion fortune).
